Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
CupidCrowd is operated by RevClip LLC, a veteran-owned company ("we," "us," or "our"). References to "CupidCrowd" or "the App" throughout this policy refer to the service operated by RevClip LLC.
2. Information We Collect
We collect: (a) Account Information — email address, name, age, gender, sexual orientation, photos, and bio provided during registration; (b) Preferences — relationship goals, deal-breakers, interests, and lifestyle choices; (c) Activity Data — votes you cast, match interactions, and messages; (d) Device Information — device type, OS version, and app version; (e) Usage Analytics — app interactions and error reports used to improve the service.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: deliver and operate the App's matchmaking service; show your profile to the community voting system; calculate compatibility scores; present suggested pairings; send verification and notification emails; enforce our Terms and Community Guidelines; respond to abuse reports; comply with legal obligations; and improve App performance. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Information Sharing
We share data only with: (a) Firebase/Google — our infrastructure and authentication provider, which processes data on our behalf under Google's Data Processing Addendum; (b) Law Enforcement — when required by law, court order, or to prevent imminent harm; (c) Business Transfers — if CupidCrowd is acquired or merges, your data may transfer to the successor with advance notice; (d) With Your Consent — for any other purpose with your explicit permission. Your profile (name, age, photos, bio) is visible to other authenticated App users.
5. Data Retention
We retain account data for as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion to allow reactivation. Safety-related logs (reports, moderation actions) are retained for 2 years to support law enforcement. Anonymous aggregate analytics may be retained indefinitely. After account deletion, personal information is purged from active systems within 90 days.
6. Your Privacy Rights
You may have the right to: Access — request a copy of data we hold about you; Correction — ask us to correct inaccurate data; Deletion — request deletion of your data; Data Portability — receive your data in machine-readable format. EU/EEA users have these rights under GDPR. California residents have additional rights under CCPA including the right to know what data is collected and the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell data). 7. Account & Data Deletion
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete Account. Deletion removes your profile, photos, preferences, and voting history from active systems. Data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before permanent deletion. Safety logs relating to reported conduct may be retained for up to 2 years per legal obligation.
8. Data Security
We use Firebase's security infrastructure including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), Firebase Security Rules to restrict data access, and authentication controls. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no Internet transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children's Privacy — 18+ Only
CupidCrowd is strictly for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we discover a person under 18 has created an account, we immediately terminate the account and delete all data. If you believe a minor is using our service, contact safety@cupidcrowd.app immediately. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
10. International Data Transfers
CupidCrowd operates from the United States. If you access the App from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US. By using the App, you consent to this transfer. We rely on Firebase's data processing agreements and standard contractual clauses for transfers of EU/EEA data.
11. Third-Party Services
We use Firebase (by Google) for authentication, data storage, and hosting. Google's privacy practices are at policies.google.com/privacy. We do not integrate with social media platforms or share data with advertisers.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our practices evolve. We will notify you of significant changes by in-app notice or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
